Board Improvement Check-in - New School Year
What are we doing? How are we doing?
As we commence the 2024-2025 school year, we are excited to continue building on the work we've done with the Multi-Year Strategic Plan and Board Improvement Plan, which we launched in January 2024. Now, with the new school year just beginning, we are eager to engage with you about the work ahead. As we implement strategies to meet our goals and advance our mission, we want to hear your valuable feedback on what we are doing and how we are doing it. Your insights are crucial as we work together to ensure the success of our students.
As you know, the work we do is rooted in the mission of our new Multi-Year Strategic Plan:
Every student experiences a sense of belonging and engages in dynamic learning to reach their potential and build their own future.
and guided by our values of Compassion, Dignity, Trust and Joy:
and we have committed to these Board Improvement Plan goals:
- Increase Literacy achievement for every student
- Increase Numeracy achievement for every student
- Improve Preparedness for the Future for every student
- Improve Engagement for every student
- Improve Well-Being for every student.
Our Strategic Directions that were developed in consultation with you--our families and communities--shape the work. You told us how we need to do our work and we listened:
In the "Important Links" section, you will find the detailed progress reports we shared with you in June. Those reports also include the next steps that we took and continue to work on. If you are interested in providing feedback on them, please do! We always want to hear from you.
We value your feedback and want to hear how you think what we can do to improve moving forward. Please take a moment to share your thoughts on the following areas:
- How well we are meeting your expectations.
- Areas of focus for the upcoming school year.
- Opportunities for improvement.
- Potential challenges we've overlooked.
- Suggestions for better community engagement.
