Welcome to the HWDSB Student Behaviour and Bias-Free Progressive Discipline Policy Consultation!

Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment is a shared responsibility. The Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board (HWDSB) is currently reviewing its Student Behaviour and Bias-Free Progressive Discipline Policy to ensure it reflects our commitment to equity, restorative practice, and student well-being.

Our goal is to establish a discipline policy that upholds human rights, prioritizes student learning and development, and fosters a positive school climate. This review is an opportunity for students, parents/guardians, educators, and community members to provide feedback and shape a policy that is fair, effective, and inclusive for all students.
